Mycosab – Still Air Box

Introducing the MycoSAB – your scientific sanctuary for precise and contamination-free experiments. Designed as an 80L model, this still air box provides a calm, stable environment, ensuring the utmost accuracy and consistency in your laboratory work.

Measuring 48cm x 29cm x 40cm internally and 59.5cm x 40cm x 42cm externally, the MycoSAB comes equipped with two Screw Seal access hatches, allowing you to safely place and retrieve items as needed. The Chrome-plated MycoRack lifts your projects 1 inch above the bottom, offering an additional layer of protection.

The significance of stillness within the MycoSAB cannot be overstated. By maintaining a tranquil atmosphere, airborne contaminants settle to the box’s bottom, away from your experiments. This tool provides a reliable space for delicate procedures involving microorganisms, cell cultures, and materials demanding a sterile environment.

To use the MycoSAB:

1. Select a calm, draft-free room.
2. Place the box on a table at a comfortable working height.
3. Before commencing work, release the side lid catches and lift the box away from the lid.
4. Arrange your items on the still air box lid.
5. Lower the box onto its lid and secure it in place.
6. For items under 100mm, use the access hatch without opening the box.
7. Screw in the hatches and allow 20 minutes for contaminants to settle.
8. Carefully unscrew and store the hatches.
9. Gradually insert your hands into the MycoSAB and proceed with your work.
